Jerry Lee Arnold departed this life on February 15, 2016 surrounded by family. His mission completed, his journey ended, his rest well earned.  Jerry Lee Arnold was born April 9, 1924 in Henderson County to the late Will and Annie Arnold. He was one of twelve children and only ten made it to adulthood. He was preceded in death by six brothers, John, Lois, Lank, Ed, W.L., and Arbie Arnold and two sisters, Lula Mae Hillyard and Anna Bell Alderson.

Jerry Lee was joined in holy matrimony to Bertha Mae Boyd in 1943 in Corinth, Mississippi. They were married for 60 years until her death. To this union, nine children were born. One child, Jerry Arnold Jr., preceded him death.

Jerry Lee was employed at the Milan Arsenal for over 60 years until his health forced him to retire. He was a very kind hearted man and very funny. Often, he would entertain with songs and jokes. The love for his family was evident as he provided care and support for many of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He really loved his family. He referred to himself as “The King” and he will always be “The King” of our world.

He leaves to mourn six sons, Larry (Mary) Arnold, Monty (Dian) Arnold, Rodney (Joy) Arnold, Darryle (Jeannie) Arnold, Aubrey Arnold all of Lexington, TN, Lewis (Orkanella) Arnold of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Sandra Croom and Sharon “Tiny” Arnold of Lexington, TN; one surviving sibling Shirley (John) Meeks of Jackson, TN; five sister-in-laws, Allieve Arnold of Lexington, TN, Christine Nesbitt of Hollow Rock, TN, Vera Lee (Walter) Hendrix, Kathleen Holmes, and Delores Boyd of Columbus, OH; brother-in-law, Odell (Lennie) Boyd of Columbus, OH; 34 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 22 great- great-grandchildren; good friend, John Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
