On the morning of October 22, 2015 the angel of silence came into the James’s home and with chilly fingers sealed the lips of Elvin’s soul winged its flight from this world of sin, sorrow and pain to a place of eternal rest. Elvin was born September 26, 1937 in Hartsville, SC ; to the parentage of Edward and Rosa Lee James, although he will be painfully missed , we the family share the joy of the knowing he has joined his beloved mother and father , twin brother Melvin, Willie James Eric James , Harold James , and sister of Knoxville, TN. Elvin joined the United States Army and served His country for 20 years He moved to Atlanta GA, and worked for Larkin Coils and Heatcraft. He retired and returned to Lexington Tennessee and United with Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where He sang in the senior choir and male chorus, until his health failed. Among those who will cherish his memories are his lovely wife Eloise P. James of 56 years, three sons Elvin A (Jake), Nathaniel (Kimberly) James Of Atlanta ,GA and Vernon A James of Lexington, TN four grandchildren: Nathaniel JR, Angelica , Olivia , and Alexander James of Atlanta, GA; Brother’s Anthony James of Baltimore, MD and David James of Knoxville TN ; five sisters Valarie James of Baltimore MD, Patricia James of Huntsville AL, Debra Harshaw, Linda James, and Sandra James of Knoxville.TN and two special friends , Malcolm and Johnnie Mae Brasher of Clarksville, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. |
