Rose Lee Casey Johnson was born on November 16, 1923 in Decatur County to the late Elsie and Mable (Sparks) Casey. She was called into the arms of her Most Gracious Heavenly Father on May 26, 2017 at the age of eighty eight. Rosie was a faithful member of Union Missionary Baptist Church for over fifty years. She served as mother of the church and missionary society president. She also served as an eastern Star member. She received her education in the Decatur County School System. She earned her LPN license and worked for the Hardin County General Hosptial and she served as a nurse in the Hardin County School System until her retirement. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, sister in law and friend. She was preceded in death by her parent’s husband, Thomas I. Johnson, sister Dorothy J. McDaniels, five brothers, Elvin Lee Casey, George William “GW” Casey, Elsie Casey Jr, Johnny Casey and R.T Casey, one son Willie T. Casey, and one granddaughter Sherri L. Shelton. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons; James Henry Clyde Johnson and Randall (Diana) Johnson of Saltillo, Tennessee, one daughter Dorothy Roberta McDaniels of Saltillo, Tennessee; one devoted sister -in-law Dorothy H Cassey of Bathspring, Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. |
