Uvell Warren Johnson was born on September 4, 1985 to Yolanda Cole Neal and Gerald W. Johnson. He departed this life at age 35 on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

Buddy, as Uvell was lovingly called by his family and friends, grew up in Nashville, Tennessee where he attended Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. Uvell confessed a hope in Christ in 2008 with the Ebenezer Community Church.

He was devoted to his brother and sister. He also had a very special love for his grandmothers, Big Mamma (Mary Sue) and Nana (Neta Mae) who both preceded him in death. Uvell enjoyed spending time with his grandfathers, Bobby Taylor and William “Tody” Johnson (deceased).

Uvell loved basketball, making people laugh, and hanging out with his friends. His smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Yolanda Cole Neal; his father, Gerald W. Johnson; his brother, Cedric Neal; and his sister, Nadiyah Neal; his uncles and aunts, Ronnie, Harmon (Sharon), Clint (Barbara) Cole, Arthur (Louise) Williams, Judith (Oliver) Presley, William, Michael, Anthony (Nina) and Devoted Aunt, Barbara Johnson. He is also survived by one great uncle, Rev. Charles (Kim) Timberlake; his great aunt, Dorothy M. Timberlake; and many loving cousins and other relatives.
