Robert was born on November 11, 1959 in Memphis, Tn to Roxie Lee Brooks and the late Joe Nathan Hardge, Sr.

He graduated Fayette Ware High School. After graduating Robert became a licensed and certified truck driver. He was employed with Mainstream Trucking Company.

Robert received Christ in his life at an early age and later united with Skipper Springs Church of Grand Junction, Tn.

After moving to Memphis, Tennessee, Skipper Springs remained his home church.

Robert was a devoted, loving, and hardworking man. To know him was to love him. Cause the only thing he loved more than his “Big Rig” and “Dallas Cowboys” was his family. Robert leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife: Dorothy Brooks, Four children: Terrika Shields-Archer (Tebious), Gloria Traylor, David Malone, and Willie Hoyle. Seven grandchildren: Terriun Shields, Thomas Shields, Tayviun Shields, Gabrielle Traylor of Memphis, TN; four brothers: Joe Hardge Jr., James (Delois) Brooks, and David (Willie Bea) Brooks, five sisters: Hattie Washington, Jacqueline Hodges, Mary Hodge, And Lola McNeal (who proceeded him in death); and a host of other relatives close family and friends.
