Nizell Poplar-Fuller (Madea) was born May 22,1928 to the late Felix and Estelle Tate.

On August 6,2021 Nizell was called from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, 5 sisters, three sons, David Lee Poplar Walter Lee Poplar and Cleveland Poplar. Her first husband Walter Poplar Sr. and her second husband John Henry Fuller.

Nizell lived a strong and meaningful life. It was a life filled with joy, daughter, love, and kindness.

She attended Mississippi Public School and was a steady homemaker to her family and to generations that followed.

Nizell was a soft spoken and kind hearted woman who loved and cared for many of her family and friends. She was often visited by neighbors, church family, and other loved ones. But most of all Nizell was a Godfearing woman who loved God, enjoyed listening to her gospel music, and reading the word. She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter Hazel (Larry) Williams and son AveryPoplar both of Kansas City, Missouri, two brothers Melvin Tate and Bezell Tate; two sisters Luther and Ester Mae Hean and all of Memphis, TN. She also leaves 22 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Nizell’s life and legacy full and will live until the end of time.
