Mrs. Linda Carol Owens was born August 1, 1957 to the late Charles Corbitt and Willma Croom. She was adopted by the late George and Hildery Small. Mrs. Owens departed this life August 20, 2017 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital, making her stay here on earth 60 years.

She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with the New Lewis Chapel AME Methodist Church.

She was educated in the schools of Davidson and Henderson Counties. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and she loved church and shopping.

After many years, Linda rededicated her life to Christ and was a faithful member of New Lewis Chapel AME.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and five brothers.

Mrs. Owens leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter: Tyrhonda (Joshua) Balfour of Oakfield, TN; two sons: Jarvis
Owens and Octavius Arnold of Lexington, TN; two step sons: Curtis (Kim) Owens and Woody Marshall of Lexington, TN; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren, seven sisters: Regina (James) Rice and Monica Forbis of Jackson, TN, Mary
(Whitney) Brown of Minnesota, Angela Corbitt (Kelvin) Conway of Jackson, TN, Anna Hollingsworth, Joetta Hanna
and Helen (Dennis) Arnold of Henderson, TN; five brothers: Steven (Geneva) Croom, Charles Corbitt and Dewayne Forbis of
Jackson, TN, Benny (Niecy) Brown of Indiana, and Horace Croom of Henderson, TN; four aunts: Mrs. Inez Flake of Lexington, TN, Shirley Manus and Sarover Kizer of Luray, TN and Mary Corbitt of Bradley, IL; one great aunt: Rebecca Manning of Jackson, TN; one uncle: Bobby Corbitt of Luray, TN. Her companion Harold Johnson, a devoted cousin Barbara
arker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
