On the morning of June 17, 2015 the life of our precious child was cut short. Kelvontae Deondrace Parker was born September 29, 1995 to Jefferey Parker and Tonya Prater. He accepted Christ at age 10 and was baptized at Pleasant Hill Church. He attended Pin Oak Elementary and later graduated from Lexington High School in 2014, where he loved playing football. He was currently attending Jackson State Community College and was in the Industrial Technology program and cohort with Bodine Aluminum in Jackson, Tn. He enjoyed playing video games and hanging out with his friends and family. Kelvontae was loved by all who knew him. He was just a joy to be around and was always trying to make people laugh. He always had a smile on his face.
He is survived by his parents Jefferey Parker and Tonya Prater, one sister- Jasmine Parker, one brother- Kalbrandon Prater, grandmother-Torosa (Hunter) Newbern, grandfather- Nathan(Judy) Parker, aunts-Vanessa Prater, Keishu(Aundra) Moffitt, LaLane (Brad) McCurry, Lana (Greg) Kirk, Margaret(Leon) White, Gloria(Willie) Huffman, Christella Moore, and Brandy(Mangelo) Tyus, one uncle Joseph(Stronda) Parker. A special great aunt, Mae Mayo, and a host of cousins, great aunts and uncles and special friends.
He was preceded in death by Mr. Elmer and Mrs. Bessie Tole,(maternal great grandparents), Mr. Joseph Paul and Mrs. Nadine Parker(fraternal grandparents) and Dexter Parker (uncle).
