Mr. Joe Nathan Nichols was born to the late Albert and Dora Nichols on December 19, 1945. Joe was married to Louise Nichols for 35 years and after divorcing they still remained the best of friends. He worked on the pipeline for several years and later started his own concrete finishing business which he did until retirement.

Joe was a member of The Cypress Creek First Baptist Church. He loved working in his garden and spending time with his family. He cherished every moment that he got to spend with his grandchildren and great grand-children. Joe was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family.

Joe was preceded in death by; 2 brothers, Elmer Lee and Billy Ray Nichols; a niece, Shronda Fry and 2 nephews, Danny White and Kevin Wilson.

Joe leaves to cherish his precious memories; the love of his life, Louise Nichols of Selmer, TN; 3 children, Kay Brown of Selmer, TN, Lillian (kelvin) Buck of Jackson, TN and Charles Wynn of Savannah, TN; 2 sisters, Delores Westbrooks (Jerry) and Madine Nichols of Selmer, TN; 2 brothers, Thomas (Mildred) Nichols of Adamsville, TN and Gary (Melanie)vNichols of Selmer, TN, 7 sisters in law, Christine (Jesse) Hall, Ruthie Mae Harmon of Lexington, TN, Jearlene Cooper, Rozela Teague of Paducah, KY, Donna Mae Teague of Jackson, TN, Olivia Nichols and Maudia Nichols of Corinth, MS; 3 brothers in law, Paul (Lena) Teague of Paducah, KY, Odell (Ophelia) Teague of Lexington, TN and Adell (Gilletta) Teague of Parson, TN, 5 grandchildren; Cierra Armour of Jackson, TN, Kayla Nelson, Kiaesha Brown of Selmer, TN, Marcellas Fouse of Jackson, TN and Travis Luster of Nashville, TN; 7 great-grandchildren; four aunt: Edith Stackens on Shallow, TN, Viola Stackens, Claire Nell Stackens of Adamsville, TN, and Pattie Stackens of Selmer, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
