Mrs. Clara Mae Brewer was born on February 16, 1944 in Bath Springs, TN to Babe and Essie Mae Brasher. She departed this life on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Clara was united in holy matrimony to her beloved Ernest Brewer, Jr., who preceded her in death, and to this union two children were born.
Clara was educated in Decatur County Training School and Crowder High School. She was gifted with athleticism talent playing basketball. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and spoiled each one of them. She was a mentor, and also a very good friend.
Clara accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church in Bath Springs, TN.
She worked faithfully as the church secretary and as a choir member. She loved and supported her church faithfully.
Preceding Clara in death were her parents, husband, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, and a son.
She is survived by a loving and faithful daughter, Donna Marie Brewer, Nashville TN, 3 grandchildren: Xavier Bowers, Malik Bowers, both of Nashville, TN, Destinee Ivory, South Fulton, TN; 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Georgia Royster, Martin, TN, and Joyce Tinsley, Parsons, TN; 2 brothers: Larry (Viola) Brasher, Bath Springs, TN and Edward (Dale) Brasher, Parsons, TN; 4 sisters-inlaw: Louise Brasher, Diane Brasher, both of Indianapolis, IN, Mary
Sue Eanes, Paducah, KY, and Georgia Mae Brewer, Saltillo, TN, 1 brother-in-law: Willie Brewer, Decaturville, TN; God children: Joyce Walker, Tammy Wooden, Toni Hankins, Rosie Lowery, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
